Like something out of a 1950’s sci-fi movie, science is beginning to catch up with fantasy. Through genetic engineering, the modifications and possibilities appear endless. For all the advantage we may envision, there may be unintended consequences. It all seems a little risky to me (remember the genetically engineered rice we lost control of a few years back). I do find it fascinating that we are beginning to understand the complexity of multi-million digital DNA code sequence that determines the form and function of life and points to a highly intelligent design.
The DNA molecule is a 3 out of 4, error detecting, error correcting, self replicating digital code. A sequence of instructions written in millions of chemical digits from an alphabet of 20 amino acids. In computer engineering, error detecting-error correcting code is a highly sophisticated level of intelligent design. Sorry to disagree with main stream education, but there is now way the DNA code was organized into this level of complexity through random chance and circumstance. Even the smallest forms of life are amazing. What was once thought by Darwin to be a "Simple Cell" is now understood to be a microscopic factory that is still not fully understood and is unequaled in complexity by any human effort. The DNA molecule clearly demonstrates that the intelligent design view to be a more defendable explanation of life.
